Biblical Counseling
“Biblical Counseling is based on a simple premise that our God has spoken through the Bible about our present situation in life and all its problems.”
We don’t see the Bible as another best-selling self-help book that brings happiness, but we see it as encouraging us through Jesus Christ to develop a real and fruitful relationship with our Father. Unlike it is in secular counseling approaches, there is a shift in focus in the sense of that being God-focused instead of man-centered is the prerogative of the counselor
Our approach moves clients through their life themes and into the heart issues that so often cloud their vision and bring them fractured and hopeless responses to life. By welcoming Christ to the deep spiritual conversations we have with clients, they often begin to see significant and lasting change brought about by Father God who considers all believers to be His precious ones.
This does not mean that you need to be a Christian to take advantage of our therapy. It is nonetheless our intention that everyone who comes to BestAide Counseling for counseling will take a serious look at the idea of change taking place in a relationship with God.
Two articles that will be helpful in understanding Biblical Counseling more deeply are, “What is Biblical Counseling” by Ed Welch and “Vanity Fair” by David Powlison.
We believe biblical truth applied with clinical accuracy produces true heart change. The objective of treatment is to achieve both mental and spiritual completeness, which must be cultivated in a biblically sound environment.
In these unusual times, we have observed that online counseling has become the preferred and safer way of caring for one’s mental health. By uniting a team of clinically informed and biblically prepared expert counselors online, we see extraordinary results as we help counselees get to the root of their problems. 85% of mental and relational problems of Christians can be sufficiently addressed through biblical counseling.
Although the knowledge of psychological theory has a vital role to play in helping people resolve their issues, we have observed that it is not sufficient for the heart transformation that people seek. That’s why we are clinically informed, Bible-based counselors.
